PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY
A. Section includes automatic operators, panic exit devices, locks, hinges, closers, and other commercial entrance hardware.

1.3 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. ADA Compliance: 32-inch minimum clear width; 5 lbf maximum interior opening force where automatic operator not used; 60x60-inch maneuvering clearances on push and pull sides.
B. Automatic Operators: ANSI A156.10 (full energy) or A156.19 (low energy) as specified.

1.4 SUBMITTALS
A. Hardware Schedule, Cut Sheets, Wiring Diagrams (where applicable), Keying Schedule, Samples on request.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1 MANUFACTURERS
A. Allegion (LCN closers, Von Duprin panic devices, Schlage locks) — basis of design.
B. ASSA ABLOY (Sargent, Norton, Yale, Securitron) — equivalent.
C. Other manufacturers approved by Architect prior to bid.

2.2 AUTOMATIC OPERATORS
A. Low-Energy Operators: LCN 4640 series or equivalent A156.19 unit.
B. Full-Energy (Sliding/Swing): Stanley Magic-Force or equivalent A156.10 unit.

2.3 PANIC EXIT DEVICES
A. Von Duprin 99 series rim, surface vertical rod, mortise, or concealed vertical rod as scheduled.
B. Fire-rated devices: UL listed for opening's required rating.

2.4 LEVER HARDWARE AND CLOSERS
A. Levers: Schlage L-series or equivalent. ADA-compliant lever return.
B. Closers: LCN 4040XP or equivalent. Adjustable closing speed.

PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Install per manufacturer's instructions and approved hardware schedule.
B. Wire automatic operators per manufacturer's wiring diagram. Coordinate with electrical.
C. Adjust closing speed and latching speed for ANSI compliance.

3.2 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Verify clear width, opening force, and operator activation. Document per ADA compliance plan.

3.3 WARRANTY
A. Operators: 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
B. Closers / Locks / Panic Devices: Manufacturer's standard.
