PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY
A. Section includes fire-rated glazing assemblies for openings requiring 20-, 45-, 60-, 90-, or 120-minute fire ratings.

1.3 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Fire-Resistance Rating: As shown on Drawings; verified by current UL listing.
B. Hose-Stream Test: Pass per UL 9 / UL 10B as required by rating.
C. Safety Glazing: ANSI Z97.1 / 16 CFR 1201 Category II.

1.4 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data, UL Listing, Shop Drawings, Samples, Installer Certification.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1 MANUFACTURERS
A. Technical Glass Products (TGP) — basis of design (FireLite, Pilkington Pyrostop, FireFrames).
B. Slimpact — impact-rated steel framing with fire glazing where impact + fire required.
C. Other manufacturers with current UL listing matching project requirements, approved prior to bid.

2.2 GLAZING
A. 20-Minute Rating: TGP FireLite Plus or equivalent ceramic glazing.
B. 45- to 120-Minute Rating: Pilkington Pyrostop or equivalent multi-layer intumescent glazing.
C. Frame: Stainless steel or galvanized steel hollow-metal, fabricated to match UL listing.

PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Install per UL listing and manufacturer instructions. Substitution of any component voids the rating.
B. Use only listed glazing tape, sealants, and gaskets.

3.2 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Maintain UL labels visible on each lite of glazing and each frame.

3.3 WARRANTY
A. Manufacturer's standard warranty on glazing and frame.
