Notes
Methodology: Median timeline is calculated as submittal-to-permit-issued across all ACG commercial glazing submittals closed in the trailing 60 days. Range reflects 25th-75th percentile. Expedited review is excluded.
HVHZ counties (Miami-Dade, Broward) require Miami-Dade NOA documentation in addition to FPA listings. NOA verification adds approximately 3-5 weeks to the base review time. Field water testing per ASTM E1105 is typically required by AHJ at permit closeout.
Complicating factors: Historic-district review, coastal construction control line (CCCL) involvement, and DEP reviews can add 4-8 weeks on top of the base timelines above. Threshold inspections required for buildings over 3 stories or with unusual structural conditions.
How to accelerate: Pre-application meetings with the AHJ, a complete submittal package (not a partial one), sealed engineering calculations matching the FPA / NOA exactly, and direct contact with a plans examiner. ACG handles all of this as part of the bid-to-submittal process.
