Healthcare

Glazing for buildings where the code stack runs deepest.

A hospital corridor panel has to clear a fire rating, a safety-glazing standard, and infection-control requirements at once, sometimes on the same lite of glass. We build healthcare glazing for that reality: hospitals, medical office buildings, surgery centers, and specialty clinics across Florida.

How we work in healthcare

Life safety is the spec,
not a feature we bolt on.

On a hospital, glazing stops being about looks the moment you open the code book. A corridor vision panel is a fire-rated assembly. A nurse-station window is a safety-glazing question. An ICU wall is an acoustic one. Get any of those wrong and it surfaces at Joint Commission review, not at the GC walk, which is the worst possible time to find out.

We've done this on real Florida healthcare work: the emergency department at HCA Florida in Cape Coral, Aspen Dental in Edgewater, and the Ginsberg Eye Center. On each one we get the infection preventionist and the facilities team into the conversation early, because a sealant or framing profile their staff can't clean to protocol is a problem no shop drawing catches on its own.

For fire-rated openings we spec TGP glass and framing, and the UL listings and installation records go into the closeout file from the first day, not the last. When the AHJ or the Joint Commission asks for documentation, it already exists instead of getting reconstructed under a deadline.

Why healthcare is different

Four standards. One opening. No conflicts allowed.

01 · Fire rating NFPA 80 / UL listed — 20 to 120 min corridors, stairs, occupancy separations 02 · Safety glazing CPSC 16 CFR 1201 Cat. II at hazardous locations — doors, sidelites, low glazing 03 · Infection control Cleanable sealants + framing profiles the facility's protocol can actually maintain 04 · Acoustics STC-rated assemblies for patient privacy at consult rooms and ICU walls ONE ASSEMBLY installed + documented UL listings & records ready for the AHJ and Joint Commission FIG. 01 — HEALTHCARE CODE STACK, ONE OPENING
Fire-Rated Systems

Hospital Fire-Rated Glazing

UL-certified fire-rated glass for healthcare corridor and stairwell applications.

Healthcare facilities require fire-rated glazing throughout — corridor vision panels, stairwell enclosures, elevator lobbies, and separation walls between occupancy types. ACG installs TGP fire-rated assemblies with full UL certification and documentation. Ratings from 20 to 120 minutes. Full code analysis provided before submittal.
