Mixed-Use Development

Mixed-Use Glazing.
One Sub. Complete Scope.

Mixed-use projects combine retail, residential, and sometimes office glazing scopes in one complex envelope. Most GCs split this across multiple subs and spend the project managing the gaps. ACG does it all.

Mixed-Use Glazing

The Entire Envelope.
One Contract. Zero Finger-Pointing.

Mixed-use development is the most complex glazing scope in commercial construction — ground-floor retail storefront, tower window wall above the podium, curtainwall on the amenity floors, automatic lobby entries, pool deck specialty glass, and interior glazing for amenity spaces.

When those scopes are split across three different glazing subs, the GC spends the job managing the transitions between them. Who owns the condition at the podium deck? Who installs the glass at the retail-to-tower transition? Who coordinates with waterproofing at the base of the tower?

ACG eliminates those questions. We take the entire glazing envelope as one scope, coordinate internally, and present the GC with one point of contact, one schedule, and one set of submittals. The transition conditions are our problem — not the superintendent's.

Ground-Floor Retail

Podium Retail Storefront

Commercial-grade ground-floor retail storefront below residential or office tower.

Ground-floor retail in mixed-use developments requires storefront that integrates cleanly with the tower system above. ACG designs the system boundary at the podium deck as part of our overall submittal — not as an afterthought that creates coordination problems during installation.

Residential or Office Tower Window Wall

Slab-to-slab window wall for the residential or commercial floors above the podium.

Tower window wall on mixed-use projects must transition cleanly from the podium retail system below and coordinate with the building's mechanical, structural, and waterproofing systems. ACG brings the same disciplined approach to mixed-use tower glazing that we bring to dedicated residential towers — with the added complexity of the podium transition handled as part of our scope.
