Six firms a general contractor is likely to shortlist for a Division 08 package in Florida, set side by side on facts each one publishes about itself. Founding year, license number as published, counties served, and what they say they self-perform. Division 08 is the CSI section covering openings: doors, windows, storefront, curtainwall and glazing. ACG publishes this page and is one of the six, held to the same standard as the rest.
Florida has no shortage of glass companies. It has far fewer that carry a commercial Division 08 package coordinated against a schedule and a submittal log. Every cell below is quoted or summarized from the firm's own website, and the domain read is printed under each name so you can go check it. Where a cell reads "not published on their site", that is a statement about the website and nothing more.

Two notes on the license column. First, a specialty contractor license is entirely proper for glass and glazing work in Florida and is not a lesser credential. Second, and more important: a firm not printing its license number on its website is not evidence that it does not hold one. AP Glazing states it is licensed without printing a number. The Southern Glass Products site does not address licensing at all. Look the firm up rather than drawing a conclusion from a web page.
On five things: an active DBPR license, a current NOA or Florida Product Approval for the exact assembly on your elevation, bond capacity confirmed in writing by the surety, an additional insured endorsement rather than just a certificate, and whether the crew is direct hire or subcontracted. Every one is checkable from a public source, including the row about ACG.

A table of published facts is a filter. Four things it cannot show, including one that counts against ACG.
Founded February 2021, so about five and a half years as of this page. Every other firm in the table has been trading longer, Southern Glass Products since 1968 and JEM by its own account more than forty years. If your evaluation weights time in business above everything else, that is a real mark against ACG, and it should be said plainly rather than left for a table to hide.
Any firm can list counties. What matters is whether they have installed there, whether they hold the product approvals that county's plans examiner expects, and whether their crew travels. Ask for a project in your county, by name.
Ashe Glass & Mirror leads with shower enclosures, table tops and mirrored walls alongside its commercial work, and Southern Glass Products serves residential as well. That is a business model, not a defect. It matters only if your package has to be sequenced against a construction schedule and a submittal log, which is project administration rather than installation skill.
How fast a bid, an RFI or a shop drawing revision comes back is the thing that decides whether a subcontractor is easy to build with, and no published fact predicts it. The only test is to send a real scope and time the reply.
