ES-9000 Commercial Doors:
A Pre-Order Hardware and Opening Checklist

Lock openings, glass, thresholds, and hardware before you release ES-9000 leaves. A door coordinator checklist, not a brand brochure.

ES-9000 Commercial Door Pre-Order Checklist Connor Walsh · 2026-09-12 · /blog/es-9000-commercial-doors-preorder-checklist.html

This page is a pre-order and hardware integration checklist for ES-9000 doors. It is not a general ESWindows brand page. For ACG’s Florida installer relationship and system overview, see ESWindows installer for Florida.

What the manufacturer says ES-9000 is

Per the public ESWindows ES-9000/9100 product page (accessed 2026-09-12 PT):

  • The ES-9000 and ES-9100 are 2 1/4″ thick impact-rated entrance doors for high-traffic commercial use.
  • They are compatible with ES-8000 and ES-9500 storefront systems.
  • Frame depth: 5″. Sightline frame: 1 3/4″ or 2 1/2″.
  • Motion listed: outswing.
  • Available with butt hinges or offset pivots.
  • Designed for 9/16″ laminated and 1 1/16″ insulating laminated glass.
  • Maximum sizes listed: 47″ × 110 1/2″ X; 89″ × 110 1/2″ XX; 53″ × 120″ SMI X.
  • Accessories listed include three-point lock, concealed vertical-rod exit devices, overhead concealed closer, and push-pull handle.
  • High and ADA thresholds; pre-assembled door leaf; stainless steel hardware; anodized, painted, or wood grain finishes.

Configuration limits and certifications may not cover every combination. Confirm the controlling approval documents for your project before release.

Pre-order hardware and opening checklist (template)

Fill one row per door leaf or pair. This is a template, not a manufacturer order form and not a security bypass guide.

TEMPLATE ONLY. Confirm against door schedule + current ESWindows docs. No invented NOA or hardware SKUs.

Opening schedule fields

Door coordinators lose weeks when the schedule says “alum entry” without size, swing, or hardware group. Require mark, width, height, single or pair, handing, and fire/egress notes before buyout.

Stay inside manufacturer-listed maximum sizes for the configuration you are ordering. If the schedule exceeds a listed maximum, stop and get manufacturer confirmation before release.

Hardware fields

Manufacturer-listed accessory categories include three-point lock, concealed vertical-rod exit devices, overhead concealed closer, and push-pull handle, with butt hinges or offset pivots. That is a category list, not a project hardware schedule.

Do not invent brand SKUs, cylinder types, or electrified access packages in this article. Put the architect’s hardware schedule on the PO and ask the supplier to confirm compatibility with the ES-9000 leaf.

Glass, threshold, and finish

Manufacturer-designed glass thicknesses on the product page are 9/16″ laminated and 1 1/16″ insulating laminated. Match the project glass type to a tested configuration. Threshold choice (high or ADA) must align with the accessibility path on the drawings.

Finish must match adjacent storefront. Name anodize, paint system, or wood grain with a color code. Pre-assembled door leaf is a manufacturer-stated feature; still confirm shipping protection and receiving checks.

Storefront compatibility

The manufacturer states ES-9000/9100 compatibility with ES-8000 and ES-9500 storefront systems. ACG’s Florida installer page also notes an integral ES-9000 door adaptor on ES-8000 storefront language. Confirm the adaptor and sill detail on the shops for your opening.

If the storefront is a different series, do not assume the door will drop in. Get written compatibility confirmation before fabrication.

Approvals: what we will not invent

ACG’s installer page lists ES-9000 design pressure and an NOA number in a product table. Those ACG-published values were not independently re-fetched from the Miami-Dade Product Control database in this draft pass. Treat them as [UNCERTAIN] until confirmed against the live NOA and the manufacturer’s controlling documents for your configuration.

Never copy an NOA number from memory into a permit package. Pull the current document, match the tested assembly, and have the project approval path (HVHZ vs FBC PA) named in writing.

How to ask for an ES-9000 package quote

Send elevations, the door schedule, and the hardware schedule. State material-only or furnish-and-install. Note storefront series (ES-8000 / ES-9500 / other) and approval geography.
