A commercial storefront installation scope includes shop drawings, NOA or FBC PA documentation, aluminum framing, glass, anchors, sealants, hardware, and warranty. Florida market practice is bundled — the glazing contractor self-performs the assembly. Here is the complete deliverable list, line by line.
Pre-construction deliverables
Sealed shop drawings (head, sill, jamb, mullion, anchor details). 10-15 business day turnaround standard at ACG.
Product data sheets for aluminum, glass, hardware, sealants.
Miami-Dade NOA documentation (HVHZ) or Florida Product Approval documentation.
Engineer-of-record sealed structural calcs against ASCE 7-22 wind pressure and FBC 1626 impact criteria.
Sealant compatibility letters from Dow Corning and Sika.
Hardware spec sheets (door operators, locks, hinges).
Installed material
Aluminum framing (Kawneer Trifab VG 451, YKK AP YES 45 IG, or Tubelite T14000) with thermal break.
Glass package (1" laminated impact IGU with low-E coating in HVHZ; equivalent in non-HVHZ).
Anchors per engineer-of-record calcs.
Weatherstripping, gaskets, setting blocks.
Structural and weatherseal sealants (Dow Corning 995 or Sika SikaSil WS-305).
Door hardware (operator, lock, hinges, closer, threshold).
Sign band integration (where the elevation includes one).
Field labor
Layout and template. Frame assembly and dry-fit. Anchor installation per calcs. Glazing (captured or structural silicone). Sealant application. Hardware install and adjustment. Field water testing per ASTM E1105 where the spec requires. Punch list and substantial completion handoff.
Warranty
Manufacturer warranties pass through (glass 10-year IGU edge seal, aluminum 5-10 year finish, sealant 10-20 year structural). ACG installer warranty: 2 years standard, 5 years extended available on commercial scopes. Transferable to subsequent owners with documentation.
